Le Gers-

The 'Gers' is the best kept secret of south west France with its green rolling hills
scattered with oak and pine forest, interrupted by fields of yellow sunflowers and
vineyards dotted with cypress trees ( referred to by the locals as the 'Tuscanny of
France).
It boasts 300 days of sunshine plus wonderful local food, wines and its famous
Armagnac brandy to be sampled at local fetes ( during the summer ) and at
markets ( all year round ).

Sleepy medieval hilltop bastide villages are to be found in abundance amidst very
beautiful and picturesque landscape views to include the distant mountains of the
Pyrenees to the south.   The region is steeped in history and is the birthplace of
the legendary d'Artagnan.

A relatively unspoilt and peaceful lifestyle - hard to find in todays fast paced life,
and pure 'nirvana' for cyclists.

You can experience this for yourself on one of our many adventure holidays @

Want to soothe your soul ??  Then it must be the 'Gers' in South West France -

Seeking happiness ??  Look no further.  Visit this region as soon as you possibly can for a memorable holiday.

The 'Gers' has no motorways running through it - so no juggernauts to disrupt the peace and quiet of the
region.  A dog barking is an event here !!

'AUCH the capital city ( described as so diminuitive it does not feel like the capital of anywhere ) is a
delightful little place, wander the streets and shops at your leisure, or stop for a quiet drink in a cafe.

At certain times, you are more likely to run into wildlife than people, particularly on a 'randonee' ie
a walk or cycle ride in the countryside.  Wildlife abounds here with deer, wild boar, red squirrels, foxes
badgers and chickens that cross the road - sometimes using the equivalent of a zebra crossing !! - photo
opportunity I think.

Miles of rolling hills, sooooo- peaceful villages, vineyards of 'Armagnac' brandy, yellow fields of either
maize or sunflowers, church spires and cypress trees abound.  Is this perfection ?
We certainly think so.  Fly into Toulouse or let the train take the strain to Agen railway station
and bring your own bike if you want.

Lets face it - we all need a break in this stressful and pacey life of the 21st century - So,
our dream is for you to visit this wonderful region and to thoroughly enjoy a holiday with
us walking and cycling in the Gers- go ahead and 'soothe your soul !'
